Working with the Bromley Community

SEND Network Champions

The Bromley SEND Partnership has created the role of SEND Network Champion across organisations and settings within the borough. The network brings together professionals and lived-experience representatives who share a commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

SEND Network Champions form a cross-sector network, including:

  • Professionals from education, health, social care, voluntary and community sectors
  • Representatives from SEND services and teams across the borough
  • Parents, carers and young people contributing lived experience

Champions:

  • Meet once a term (online or in person)
  • Share intelligence about SEND developments, challenges and effective practice in Bromley
  • Gather and reflect feedback from their organisation, service or community
  • Share key updates, learning and effective practice with colleagues and within their own networks
  • Support clearer pathways by signposting families and professionals to appropriate advice and support
  • Gain a broader understanding of SEND priorities, developments and pressures across the borough
  • Help shape improvements to SEND services for children, young people and families in Bromley
  • Build connections across sectors and strengthen collaborative working
  • Help ensure decision‑makers are informed by both professional insight and lived experience
