This website is compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version AA standard.
We are aware that some of our sub sites, videos and pdfs are not fully compliant and we are working with the system owners to rectify this. We are also aware that some of our old pdfs prior to September 2020 are not fully accessible. We are working to remove as many of these as possible.
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
We are aware that some of our sub sites, videos and pdfs are not fully compliant and we are working with the system owners to rectify this. We are also aware that some of our old pdfs prior to September 2020 are not fully accessible. We are working to remove as many of these as possible.
Some of our PDFs and Word documents are essential to providing our services. For example, some legislation requires documents or policies to be published in PDF or Word format.
Some documents are designed to be printed and not used as digital documents. We have made the decision to host these documents on the website so that our users can download and print them if they wish, where this is the case we state that the document is intended for print and offline use only, and that it may not be fully accessible to screen readers or mobile devices.
The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services.
Any new PDFs or Word documents we publish will meet accessibility standards, unless specifically for print only purposes. We have made many fully accessible using tools in Adobe Acrobat or by converting them to content pages and we have a continual improvement plan in place for this work.
We do not plan to add captions to live video streams because live video is exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations.
