Parents and carers across Bromley are invited to take part in an important online session focused on shaping the future of local Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) services.

As the Government’s SEND reforms continue to develop, Bromley is working closely with families, partners and stakeholders to ensure that the voices of parents and carers are at the heart of local planning and decision-making. This session offers a valuable opportunity to hear the latest updates, learn more about Bromley’s SEND Area Plan, and contribute ideas that will help improve services for children and young people with SEND.

The event will explore several key themes, including:

  • Building stronger strategic partnerships with parent carers to ensure family experiences and insights inform future developments.
  • Keeping families informed and connected as national and local reforms progress.
  • Sharing practical examples and emerging approaches to planning that support better outcomes for children and young people.
  • Strengthening governance and accountability to ensure services remain transparent, responsive and effective.

This collaborative session is being delivered as part of the SEND Matters programme, in partnership with Bromley Parent Carer Forum, YVHSC, the London Borough of Bromley, and NHS South East London.

Whether you are a parent, carer or family member of a child or young person with SEND, your views and experiences are invaluable. By attending, you can help shape the direction of SEND services in Bromley and ensure they meet the needs of local families now and in the future.
